Record $211bn clean energy investment in 2010 driven by Chinese wind and EU solar roofs.

The global total of $211bn (£132bn) is a record, up 32% on 2009, with $50bn in China, up >25%, but $35bn in the EU, down 20%. The developing countries overtook developed countries for the first time, UNEP reports with Bloomberg Clean Energy Finance. The main drivers were wind in China and solar rooftops in Europe ($34bn in German micro rooftop alone).
