Many Big Energy staff still working in UK climate ministry.

Guardian: Almost two dozen employees from companies including British Gas, Shell and npower are working at the Department of Energy “and, in most cases, are being paid by the government to do so.” Civil servants have traveled in the opposite direction to work on secondment for the companies.
Jl thought: DECC defends the many Big Energy staff seconded to HMG as their “need to know” what is going on in dustry. But the need to know seems to be almost exclusively about carbon and nuclear, little about renewables.
