“The plan would benefit a handful of firms the president favours at the expense of consumers” …c. $12bn worth of “cash for cronies”, as Nora Brownell, a former FERC commissioner appointed by George W. Bush, puts it.

Let us hope that solar companies react strongly to this in US courts (well, and gas companies too, for that matter!). As the article says: “legal experts reckon that the plan has a slim chance of success in the long-term.”
