As global solar capacity soars in 2017, new solar in the UK halves for a second year running

21 of the 28 EU markets showed growth, but this wasn’t enough to compensate for UK losses resulting from subsidy cuts in 2015 and 2016.

Sad is not the word I would use. More like bewilderingly myopic, and a tragic testament to the their delusional addiction to the twin imminent train wrecks that are nuclear renaissance and shale production.
